Terms of Service
Effective date: 19 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Zahlivery mobile app ("Zahlivery", "we", "us"), operated by Abdihafit Ismail in Wajir, Kenya. By creating an account or using Zahlivery, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. What Zahlivery is
Zahlivery is a platform that connects:
- customers with shops, hotels, and riders for ordering and delivery;
- customers with independent skilled workers (such as electricians, plumbers, cleaners, private chefs, and errand runners) through the Marketplace;
- people with short videos posted by businesses and other users.
Shops, hotels, riders, and workers are independent. They are not our employees or agents. Any agreement for goods or services is between you and them.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date, including your name and phone number.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- One person or business per account. Do not create accounts for others without their permission.
3. Orders, requests, and payment
- Prices, quotes, and availability are set by the shop, hotel, rider, or worker.
- A Marketplace job is agreed when you accept a worker's quote in the app.
- Unless the app clearly says otherwise, you pay the shop, rider, or worker directly. Zahlivery does not currently collect payments for orders or Marketplace jobs and is not a party to that payment.
- Cancel through the app as early as you can so the other side is informed.
4. Skilled workers and the Verified badge
- Anyone can list their skills. Workers are responsible for having any licences, permits, tools, and insurance their work requires, and for doing the work safely and as agreed.
- The Verified badge means we have checked an identity document the worker submitted. It does not guarantee the quality or safety of their work.
- Ratings and reviews come from customers. We use them, along with completed jobs and cancellations, to rank and recommend workers.
5. Content you post
This includes videos, photos, listings, reviews, and messages.
- You keep ownership of your content. You give Zahlivery a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and share it within the app and to promote Zahlivery, for as long as it is on Zahlivery.
- Only post content you have the right to post, and be honest. Reviews must reflect your real experience.
You must not post content that:
- is illegal, or promotes illegal goods, services, or activities;
- is sexually explicit, or sexualises minors in any way;
- shows or encourages violence, self-harm, or dangerous acts;
- is hateful, harassing, bullying, or threatening toward any person or group;
- is a scam, spam, or misleading, including fake reviews or impersonation;
- shares someone else's private information without consent;
- infringes copyright, trademarks, or other rights.
6. Reporting and moderation
- You can report videos, listings, and users in the app. You can also block users you do not want to see.
- We review reports and may remove content, hide it while we review it, suspend listings, remove the Verified badge, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with or without notice.
- If you think we made a mistake, contact us at support@zahlivery.com.
7. Things you must not do
- Use Zahlivery for fraud, or to contact people for purposes unrelated to orders, jobs, or the content they posted.
- Try to access other people's accounts or data, or interfere with how the app works.
- Copy, scrape, or resell data from Zahlivery.
8. Fees
Zahlivery is currently free to use. If we introduce fees, we will tell you in advance and you can choose whether to continue.
9. Responsibility
- We work to keep Zahlivery available and accurate but provide it "as is". We do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
- To the extent allowed by Kenyan law, Zahlivery is not responsible for the goods, services, conduct, or content of shops, hotels, riders, workers, or other users, or for losses arising from agreements between you and them.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012, or other Kenyan law that cannot be limited.
10. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from your profile in the app. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Some information may be kept where the law requires it, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes in the app. If you keep using Zahlivery after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. We will try to resolve any dispute with you informally first; contact us at support@zahlivery.com.
